Cycling Ascents - France
Cycling Ascents provides guided cycling holidays based at the foot of Alpe D'Huez, with our accommodation in Bourg D’Oisans. Bourg D’Oisans is the ideal base for cycling up Alpe D’Huez, being only two minutes ride from the bottom of the legendary Tour de France climb. Other Tour greats such as the Col Du Galibier, Col du Glandon and Col de la Croix de Fer are also within cycling distance. Our accommodation is a spacious (85 sqm) 3 bedroom apartment, with a large private balcony and garage for bike storage.

There are a number of quiet roads often used by runners locally. The most popular roads are between Bourg D'Oisans and Le Vert, a small hamlet with no through traffic (you will often see more pedestrians and bikes on the road than cars!)
Many trails can be found in the valley - again towards Le Vert but also alongside the rivers as they run through the valley. There are often excellent views of the mountains.
